I started training with Carola because of her interest in working around injury. I had been doing boot camp style work outs when I injured my lower by picking up my 4 year old. I had never had back pain before and this pain was affecting everything! I stopped exercising and the pain improved, but each time I tried to exercise on my own, it would return. Carola fully evaluated my form and found my areas of weakness that may have contributed to my back pain. She tailored my sessions to my needs and at a pace that I felt comfortable with. I am gradually building my strength and with minimal discomfort. She is kind and gentle in our sessions, I am excited to continue to work with her and reach my fitness goals.

My name is Carola Stephens and I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and a 500 hour Certified Yoga Teacher. My small business is called Grounding Fitness because I believe that you first need to work on your foundation (posture) first. Imbalances in muscles occur when our posture is off by repetitive movement or prior injury. My focus is to empower women to feel strong by finding movement, health, and wellness. Finding time for yourself is important! You can't help others or be the best that you can be by having an empty cup. Self-care is important! All levels welcomed, especially beginners.
