Heart Opening Yoga Flow

Hi Everyone! I’ve been slacking a little on my class posts. I’ve been in a little funk, so I didn’t do as much as I should have. It’s hard, wanting to go out and do the usual things, but now, either the places are closed, or it’s such a hassle. Just taking it one day at a time! This week, I’m feeling better!! So, let’s begin!!

Two weeks ago, I taught a Heart Opening Flow! It’s funny, when you least expect it, your brain gets jumbled and forgets something. LOL! Hopefully, it’s not too noticeable, but I am proud of myself because I kept going without showing how much it bothered me. Internally, I thought I was blowing it, and that I lost my “teaching mode”. However, when I watched the video, I couldn’t really tell, besides the 1 or 2 comments I made! I was ready to re-record the last part of the class, but so happy that I stuck with it (and the students really didn’t notice until I told them)!

I appreciate everyone that was able to join me, since it was in the middle of the week. Some had to cancel due to bad timing, however, I’m so grateful that I’ve received feedback on better days to teach, so I’m thinking Friday mornings win!! LOL! If you are doing my class, thank you, and I also appreciate YOU for taking the time out for yourself! Let me know what ya’ll think in the YouTube comments or on my Instagram @slipstitch.and.mantras .

In this class, I did a lot of chest openers to get us started and peaked with Ustrasana-Camel Pose. I give lots of modifications to get into the peak pose. It’s appropriate for all levels. As always, please check with your doctor is you are not sure whether you should do this sequence or not. A couple of reminders, if you suffer from back pain or high blood pressure, I would avoid the backbends.

As always, have a beautiful week. Enjoy!! Paz y Luz.
