Morning Slow Flow Yoga

As I write this, I am saddened with what I am seeing going on in this country. First, people losing their jobs and deaths due to Covid-19, and now, people loosing their businesses (and also dying) due to looting and rioting. As I contemplated this a couple of days ago, I thought about the Yamas and Niyamas. Especially Ahimsa (non-harming) and Ishvara Pranidhana (surrender to the highest love). Everything starts with the individual and if there is no change with each individual, then the bigger picture is not going to change. Ya’ll remember Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror? Truly listen to the lyrics. I pray for healing energy for our world.

My Final 200 YTT Project

A little over a week ago, I filmed my final project. I was beyond grateful and excited that my friends (and new friends from my YTT group) were able to attend through Zoom. I was super nervous in the beginning, but snapped out of it and was able to do it! It went well and super excited as to how it turned out. I’ve been learning how to edit videos, so this is my first editing as well! I hope ya’ll enjoy it! Please let me know what you think!

Certification

After submitting my final project, sequence, asana dissection, and self-practice log, I found out a week later that everything has been approved!! Wohooo!! Currently, I am waiting for my certificate so that I can apply to the Yoga Alliance. I am so excited to start teaching! After a week or so, I would like to start having Zoom classes once per week (to get more teaching under my belt). The more practice, the better!! Also, unity is what this world needs, being mindful, turning inward and looking deep down. This world needs more yoga and its philosophy!!!

Stay tuned!!
